April

Over 12 hours of daylight takes its toll on the snowbank..
it ended up melting before a second chance to go crust skiing.

Big puddle in the playground!

Headed down to Tikkurila for the weekend before leaving for Central Europe

Olli with his driving shades and cap

Olli's classic Saab convertible

A familiar sight- Fresh strawberries in the tori

You begin running out of things to take pictures of in downtown Helsinki,
when a family member makes a pilgrimage there at least once in every 2 years..

A very significant spot for the Kilpela boys..

At my grandparents' grave.

Lots of snow still in the cemetary, unlike the rest of Vantaa

Finally met the boys!  They taught me a poker-style card game

I was their age, the last time I met their dad, who was my age at the time.
Wrap your head around that!

Cousins!

Took a walk around Tampere, the night before flying out to Europe.
This spot is significant to me- Sam and Mik filmed a sweet bike video clip here.

Did Sampo go swimming under this bridge? Above the rapids where the lake drains into the river.

I am SO envious of Karl's kitchen window view!

Went ahead and dyed my hair to fit in with the rest of the Finns!
